Gaspard, on the left, celebrates his first day at Stamplast

For a few weeks, Stamplast’s offices, workshops, and factories become a place for high-level and international professional training. In fact, Gaspard Coste, a 23-year-old French engineering student, has chosen our company to carry out a three-month internship. The internship abroad is part of his course of study at the National School of Microtechnology and Mechanics in Besançon.

The school’s educational path allows for an equal split between the commitment to the institute and the commitment to the productive world. Therefore, during the school year Gaspard spends two weeks a month at school and the rest at Sophysa. Sophysa is a French company known internationally for innovative solutions in the field of neurosurgery. Stamplast, which has medical as one of its leading sectors, has a long-standing and established partnership with Sophysa.

“The goals of my mobility at Stamplast,” explains Gaspard Coste, “are to open my mind by discovering different ways of working, to get to know a new company, to improve my English, and of course to do all this in a stimulating environment. I am lucky because Stamplast has allowed me to fulfill all these needs.”

After an initial two-month term, Gaspard is now spending the last few weeks in San Gregorio nelle Alpi to complete his three-month internship. He has had the opportunity to learn about the work of all offices and departments. Furthermore, he has dedicated a special focus on the technical department and the injection mold production workshop.

“This experience allowed me to learn about plastic molding technologies,” the young engineer continues, “as well as to improve English and Italian and meet great people”.

Once he completes engineering school, Gaspard will achieve a course of study that began with a science diploma. He continued with a technology diploma and a one-year degree. That allowed him to enter the national high school of Microtechnology and Mechanics.

In conclusion, for the Stamplast team, this was a valuable opportunity to engage with a competent and dynamic professional as well as an important milestone within the collaboration with Sophysa.
